The oddest book, however, is "The Mushroom in Christian Art", whose thesis appears to be that Jesus was a personified mushroom.

I had assumed that Poo was the name of the author, but it turns out to be Thai for 'crab' - and therefore a useful cookbook. It does raise the question of why the publishers translated 'Cooking With' but not 'Poo'.

That's my reason for disliking the title - I can't shift the suspicion that the publishers were deliberately aiming for this prize (yes it does happen, with books that they know won't get any publicity any other way).
