Actually it is probably over 25 years since we first met. Also, I remember adaese from when she was a small child.

The first time I remember meeting you was at the Nottingham AGM in '93. It is possible, though, that we might have met at the Cambridge AGM or Cambridge seminar (sorry, workshop!); or even the Leicester AGM, back in '84.

I suspect it was in 1984, though I can't actually remember the detail of anything before about last week, deduction suggests that '84 is right.

I know I saw quite a few people then, tho' the only individuals I can remember are three of the then-committee, the organisers, and a certain Frenchman.
