How do I get to be on one of those airliners? ;-)

Simple: try to hijack it! 8-)

I dunno, but we live under a fighter-pilots' playground; and if in luck get tranporters from the garrison, and helicopters from the other RAF base too. You'd like it a lot :)

(minidj2 had a visit from a helicopter at school a couple of terms ago, and got to sit in it; we've also had the air ambulance land on the field behind our house).

Yeah, I was kinda thinking that too... :o

That would work ... but I suspect I'd soon be seeing an awful lot more weaponry at rather close quarters!

I would indeed! Our house was part of a bomber-pilot's playground when I was young - Avro Vulcans would target on the local stately home, less than two miles away. And Provost basic trainers, Hunting Jet Provost trainers, Folland Gnat advanced jet trainers (later replaced by BAe Hawks), the odd Avro Shackleton ...

Snah is, my next flight is Luton to Glasgow, and that's probably not going to be a key target for anyone (which I am grateful for really!)
