I am led to believe that subsequent models of Astras do not have the same fault that prematurely killed our 1998ish model a few years ago. In case not, do look it up in Which and/or on the internet - something to do with the fuel pump (it was a diesel). Sorry I was not around to make this comment when you were asking for recommendations. I have mentioned it before though.

Oh yes and very nice and shiny and red :)
