Of course, an event better poll would be: "Who is your least favourite doctor."

Ranking them would be interesting, too. Tom Baker and Colin Baker at the bottom of mine, Hartnell and Davison at the top.

Eccleston with an option on Tom Baker. I was going to say "everyone picks Tom Baker" but clearly that isn't the case!

It had to be Peter Davidson, because he's my Doctor, the first one I really remember watching, but honestly I find it incredibly difficult to chose.

I picked David Tennant because I can see in his performances where he's displaying the other Doctor's characteristics and I like that.

This was a really tough one. Tom Baker is definately the funniest, and I liked Christopher Eccleston's portrayal of the Doctor as a very damaged and scarred man. n the end I had to go for William Hartnell because his Doctor was such a grumpy old git!

Very close thing between Jon Pertwee, Paul McGann and Sylvester McCoy.

Although I saw some Pertwee my who-age was mostly Baker with a smidge or Davidson after. Not really that impressed with Eccleston the temp, and the writing has put me off so I hardly watch.

Believe me, I know how you feel! I was actually too old (in my early teens when An Unearthly Child aired) to ever be hooked on Dr Who. My main problem with NuWho has been a dislike of Billie Piper's Rose, then a dislike of Tennant, all combined with a deep mistrust of anything not written by Stephen Moffat...

Is odd - we're exactly (okay, almost exactly) the same age, and yet I always think of Jon Pertwee as "my" doctor.
