Oxford Hotels

Our Oxford hotel has a problem with their heating - so, at the last minute, we're looking for somewhere to stay near Christ Church - any suggestions?

I know that [livejournal.com profile] narahttbbs's parents used to stay at Heather House on Iffley Road; though ideally for Christ Church you'd want somewhere central. There's the Malmaison (though the prices, even reduced, are fairly high); I don't know what the establishments on Abingdon Road are like.

The Eastgate hotel on the High Street is fairly handy.

Is Malmaison open yet? They're usually excellent, but I can't speak for the Oxford one.

It's been open for well over a year now - unusual in the chain for having bars on some of its windows and rooms arranged in wings known by letter...
