The coffee shop and Hobbiton U.S.A. trails, which are both located on the Avenueof the Giants just south of Phillipsville, have been in the family since Boughner's grandmother, Marguerite Satterlee, purchased the property in 1945. A huge fan of J.R.R. Tolkien's novels “The Hobbit” and the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy, Satterlee dreamed of creating a kind of hobbit theme park.

I suspect however that had this gentleman *only* kept all his editions of Tolkien's books, plus a few other choice bits of paraphernalia, he wouldn't have the massive clutter problem he evidently did. Nothing wrong with collecting stuff, unless you collect EVERYthing.

(I sympathise, I am dealing with my own, um, collection, right now...)

Is this the bit where I point out that I still have every single item of clothing I've bought in the last ten years... even if I haven't worn it for five? Or that I have a tea-carton-sized box of plastic carrier bags from all over the world? Or that I can't stop buying books, even though I've got to the point where I can't fit any more bookcases in the flat?

*sigh*.

You're right, you're right... it's definitely time to deal with all the jetsam, flotsam and detritus.
