I fear that Florida rain may be of a different quality. In the UK, if you do that at this time of year, you are liable to end up with frozen blocks of ice rather than wearable clothes. The rain leaves them much wetter than the spin cycle on the machine, and the weather is rarely warm enough to deal with all that water before the next frost or, indeed, the next rain shower.
