Serves you right for doing the washing on a Sunday.

I have a rule about putting washing out: between the beginning of November and around the middle of March, I don't. Why? Not just because it's so likely to rain; I find that the hours of daylight are so short, and it's so seldom 'drying weather' anyway, that washing just doesn't dry enough to make the effort worthwhile. I dry indoors, which is much more efficient!

I take it you're having a rough washing day.
At least you can put the wash back up again. :)
My SIL who lives in Florida figured out years ago, that if the rain isn't being too windy (and likely to blow the clothes off the line), just leave the clothes up and call it an extra rinse cycle. :D

I always feel that maximum irritation value is achieved by having the rain start once you've started doing something else that it isn't easy to stop. That way you absolutely guarantee that the washing is substantially wetter coming in than it was going out.
