Probably my last post ...
... for two weeks, as we'll be in Orkney. Even if I do get to a PC, I'm not going to want to spend my time typing!
See some of you at Oxonmoot.

So, any suggestion for a birding guide to the British Isles? I prefer organization by families, but the Peterson guide has a dreadful review and the Wildlife Trust book is by habitat. I'm looking at the RSPB guide (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pocket-Guide-Birds-Jonathan-Elphick/dp/0751336785/sr=1-3/qid=1158365315/ref=sr_1_3/202-4103377-6555063?ie=UTF8&s=books) although I don't need the "pocket" feature, so maybe their full-sized (http://www.amazon.co.uk/RSPB-Guide-British-Birds/dp/0333907515/sr=1-22/qid=1158365580/ref=sr_1_22/202-4103377-6555063?ie=UTF8&s=books) guide? Or this (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Complete-British-Birds-Paul-Sterry/dp/000717229X/ref=pd_bxgy_b_img_b/202-4103377-6555063?ie=UTF8), though I prefer drawings. Help! Thanks.*g*

It seemed to be useful.

Thank you for the postcard, by the way. It was here waiting for me, when I got back from Oxonmoot.
