A better day

1. I slept well.
2. I had a lie-in.
3. And a cup of tea brought to me in bed. (Have I ever mentioned that I've got a wonderful wife?)
4. I didn't get into work until after half past eight.
5. I've written two notes, totalling 2,500 words. (Okay, they still need a bit of work, but I'm very pleased to get at least the initial versions done.)
6. No one is pressuring me for anything! (I'm sure this is just a lull in the storm, but it's certainly nice while it lasts.)
7. It's nearly lunch time.

I think that'll do for now :-)

I hope all your days are also going well!

ETA: 8. It might snow this weekend! (Note to self: must get an ermine icon, winter, for use in.)
9. The third edition of the Encyclopedia of Science Fiction has reached 2,500,000 words. http://sfe3.org/
10. England are having a better day in the test match.

Yay! Ten good things, and I haven't even had lunch yet!

I've had a very quiet morning having got myself overtired the last few days. Christmas related running around plus sleepless toddler is not a good combo!

Yay for quiet mornings!

11. There's frozen white stuff falling from the heavens, and settling. Okay, so it's actually hail, not quite what you ordered, but close enough?

It was pretty good :-)

It went downhill in the afternoon - pressure at work - but still a pick-up on the day before :-)

HOW is it possible to have a lie in (let alone one worth mentioning) and still be in work well before 9am? Good grief. ;)

I'm normally in by 8.15, but Monday - Wednesday I was in by about 7.45. (It does help that I only live 15 minutes' walk away).
