More railways

There are five train stations in Great Britain with more than 30 million passenger entry / exit movements a year.

London Waterloo, 87.9m
London Victoria, 70.2m
Liverpool Street, 55.1m
London Bridge, 49.7m
London Charing Cross, 36.7m

And there are five stations with fewer than 100 entry / exit movements a year.
Barry Links, 94
Kirton Lindsey, 88
Maidstone Barracks, 70
Denton, 56
Teesside Airport, 44

I clearly need a train icon.

Teesside Airport 'station' is apparently at least a quarter of an hour's walk from the tiny airport it 'serves' and features precisely two trains a week - one that goes to the station on a Saturday morning and one that departs from the station later in the day.

So you really need to co-ordinate your travel plans very carefully, and be prepared to sleep at the airport for a few days if your flight back touches down on a Sunday.

Nottingham to Lincoln is a bit like that.

I believe it is cheaper for the operator to keep the station "open" than to go through the consultation process necessary to close it.
