That's very amusing, but seriously, I think that one could put together a degree in Fandom Studies that would be at least as educational as many other degrees. Postmodern lit crit, here we come...

I agree :) It would involve learning about sociology, anthropology, psychology, literary criticism, film/media studies, a bit of history, computer science, gender studies, marketing... I've run out of breath.
