Referendum

If you are eligible to do so, please vote on Thursday.

And please think carefully before you vote. Don't be swayed by soundbites or kneejerk reactions.

And please be polite to others, both before and after the vote.

I will be voting to remain in the EU. I think we all should, but I know there are reasoned arguments for leaving.

Thank you.

Thank *you*.

This is very good sense, and I hope it spreads to as many people as possible.

Here's to calmer seas until the referendum. Lots of things have happened on this campaign trail, and not all of them have been good, but I have full confidence that Britons will keep their hearts warm and their minds cool for these next few days.

And, of course, whichever way the UK votes, it'll still have a friend in me.

I'll be voting to remain, but if the vote goes the other way, I'll be considering options elsewhere, as I don't think a Farage/Bojo England will be a place for the likes of me. :o(

These are good words for difficult times. I really hope such sober courtesy and thoughtfulness come to the fore.
May it be a good outcome for your country and for the EU.
