And please think carefully before you vote. Don't be swayed by soundbites or kneejerk reactions.

And please be polite to others, both before and after the vote.

I will be voting to remain in the EU. I think we all should, but I know there are reasoned arguments for leaving.

These are good words for difficult times. I really hope such sober courtesy and thoughtfulness come to the fore.
