Three good things: Wednesday

Three good things for Wednesday:
- we had raspberries for pudding
- I have sorted out a few more books for the stall at work
- I have got the Kindle app on the desktop working.

I must have missed about the stall at work. Is it a for-a-good-cause secondhand book sale? That sounds very public-spirited of your work!
Or is it an educate-your-fellow-workers display? which would be unusual, but get some good conversations going, I expect. :)

It is the former, and happens every month or two.

Is it always the same good cause, or can staff nominate causes they like? Is it staff selling to other staff, or is the general public part of it? I think it's a great idea. :)

The good cause does change from time to time; I am never quite sure how it is decided, but there is some input from staff. It is only open to people who work in the building - all 3,000 or so of us.

All very good things. D-d and I love raspberries - S2C can't understand why. We don't mind - all the more for us.

I have been off-loading books to the bookstall at church - in part because I use my kindle so much now, and the desk-top app is a God-send for S2C as he has very poor eye-sight.

I prefer paper books while I can, but Kindles do have their advantages - for people with poor eyesight, as you say; and for travelling; and for shelf space.
