So ...

Thoughts on the new Dr Who?

Not much time to comment now, but wow, Billie Piper is really an excellent actress. I was completely convinced by her version of Cassandra.

Forgot to watch it... presumably there will be a repeat on one of the digital channels tomorrow! (The dinner I was making was well worth missing it for, at least.)

My thoughts are over here (http://parrot-knight.livejournal.com/2006/04/15/).

Interesting take on the zombie invasion :)

*growls in envy*. I won't see it for another six months...

On the other hand I have just finished a very satisfying viewing of the entire Series 1 on DVD at my Dad's, so I can't really complain. Can't wait for Series 2 and Torchwood.

Ah, but look on the bright side - you do get to see some things before we do like, er, well, "Neighbours" ...

Ah, I see your point!

;-)

*g* I don't think I've ever watched more than 5 minutes of "Neighbours" in my life. I did get hooked on "EastEnders" in 1986 when I was in the UK for a couple of months but it wasn't shown in Australia until years later and then only for one or two seasons. I think it's carried on one of the Pay TV channels now.

David Tennant. Yum. What was the plot again? ;)

[identity profile] wellinghall.livejournal.com 2006-04-24 03:48 pm (UTC)(link)
David who? Oh, yes, there was someone on-screen as well as Billie Piper ... ;-)

I like him- he has the impishness of the first Doctor-supposedly he has the darker side as well but that wasn't evident in the first episode. My little angels just accepted him immediately.

With regards to Billie Piper- yes she is a truly brilliant actress. The biggest shock of the previous series was finding out just how good she was as previously I had just dismissed her. She made a wonderful Cassandra...

Billie Piper is turning out to be a very good actress, isn't she - and she didn't disgrace herself in the modernised Shakespeare of a few months ago, or the Chaucer before that.
