ETA: I was also amused by this headline:

Whilst I am sensible of the violation of sovereignty involved in using a British passport for politically motivated murder, I am still forced to conclude that Mossad are awesome.

I liked the first one a lot. It's so typical. I remember being given a bicycle and having to pretend I didn't know I was going to get it, because I "accidentally" had found it out somewhere in the house.
Trying to hide presents for a child in the house, particularly unwrapped, is asking for trouble. It reminds me of the Wee Free Men... (They say something along the lines: If they didn't want us to see it, why did they lock it?")

When I lived in Witney, Oxfordshire, my next door neighbours had 3 children and hiding presents posed quite a problem. In the end they would keep them in my house and I gave them a key to come and collect them on Xmas eve. One year all the wrapping happened in my dining room.

Well I've heard of the Zanzibarbarians and the exploding wigs of doom but no 3 is a new one!

I used to be quite partial to a Tandoori, but somehow I've gone off them now ...
