Wolverhampton, part one

On our way back from Wolverhampton yesterday, we got off the train at Bristol Parkway ... and found we had left one of our bags on the train. We spoke to a member of staff, who radioed another member of staff, who rang the next station on, who found the bag, and sent it back on the next train northbound. I am quick enough to criticise railway staff when they don't do a good job; but I also like to say thank you, and acknowledge publicly, when they do do a good job, and go that extra mile.

We gave two of the people involved some fresh eggs, which I think they appreciated :-)

Hurrah for the railways! I once left a dress behind on the overhead luggage rack and did something similar, though sadly it could not get back to me in time to wear it at the wedding that afternoon for which it was intended (fortunately I had something else with me that did very well when I dashed out and bought a fascinator). I am sure they enjoyed the eggs.

I'm glad you got your bag back!
