To the hospital this afternoon, for more work on my eyes.

They are going to use a laser to seal up the leak in my left eye. Yes, that's right, someone is going to go into my eye with a sharp, pointy beam of light. And you know how I feel about sharp pointy things :-(

*hug* Good luck, and think of it as "shiny" not "pointy".

Oh dear. Being the type that is also not a fan (AT ALL) of sharp, pointy things, you have my complete support. Hope that it goes well, and that your eye is rendered unharmed. :)

What they did not tell me before I had it done the first time was that the laser shuts down vision in the eye for a couple of minutes after the treatment finishes. I had a moments panic that they had blinded me. It does come back first as a deep red and slowly the rest of the spectrum. I had little or no pain during the treatment but afterwards it felt like I had been hit in the eye with a blunt object perhaps a thrown tennis ball. Good luck

Have a big hug - hope it went well. You have my total sympathy; I coped quite well with having a hole gouged in the back of my head (where you can't even see what is happening) but having things done to an eye would make me a gibbering wreck.
