Last weekend

wellinghallAs arranged, MastermindChampion and ShipMan came over on Saturday. Unfortunately, the cream teas had been postponed, due to the weather; but we had a pleasant afternoon, with lunch, tea, and a brief walk round the village in one of the dryer spells. Then a lazy evening with David Tennant and Freema Agyeman.
Then on Sunday, we went down to St Albans, for a barbecue at my boss's house - good food, good drink (a Beaujolais cru), good company (with the children mostly occupying themselves with hula hoops, netball, and Sing Star). For the second weekend in a row, we found a rare sunny patch, meaning I got burnt again. On the way back, we walked through the park, and past the impressive Roman wall. (I do like Roman remains.)
