1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 23.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal...
5. ...along with these instructions.

I'm in the office at the moment, and the nearest book is "User's Guide: Microsoft Excel". (I don't know why, because I never use it - the book that is; I use Excel all the time.) The fifth sentence on page 23 is:

"1. Under Print, select the Black And White check box."

"Extranets, which fall under the current rubric "B2B", for Business to Business, are essentially intranets that use the Internet as a vehicle to interact with their customers, suppliers, and business partners." (Sams Teach Yourself: Networking. Computer books live next to the computer, where I am.)

Spend some time in the historical city of Lyon the morning before making our way southwards to Provence, and the town of Orange where we will spend the next three nights at the Park Inn Hotel.

(The actual nearest book was an atlas, which didn't really work.)

I tried it at work, too. I had to try four books before I found one that even possessed a page 23. Page 23 of the fifth book contained "AR" ("RO" was on page 22, opposite, along with the left-hand side of a lion.) I concluded that this meme doesn't work when you have a shelf of storytelling books right next to your desk.

"O'er the blue depths of Galilee there comes a holier calm, and Sharon waves, in solemn praise, her silent groves of palm."

It's a hymnal...
