Hi folks

Well, we've been to foradan's and meggy's wedding. And pretty darn good it was too. Pleasing civil ceremony; vast numbers of appetisers, wine etc; five courrse dinner; speeches; music and dancing; then a huge, and gloriously presented, buffet. I mean *really*. The apple swans floating in a red lake in a melon shell were just the start of it.

A vision of loveliness sat at the top table - meggy looked nice too ;-)

Best bit? Being restrained from eating a second custard tart! ;-)))

Hate almost everything to do with Portugese taxis, though. The taxi we had arranged for 10.30 came at 11.20, after repeated assurances that "He will be here in five minutes". GRRR! The one to the airport sort-of restored our faith in human nature, though; very cheery.

Got to go now, as the time is about to run out. More when we get home!

Creatrix points out that the best bit of the day was dancing with her. I am, of course, happy to do this :-)

To-do list

chainmailmaiden's recent posting has prompted me to write a to-do list for myself (in no particular order).

1. Post parcels to grandmother (for 88th birthday), parents, didiusjulianus.
2. Send various emails to people from Portugal.
3. Sort out CD / DVD writing.
4. Back up my PC!!
5. Sort out Firefox problems.
6. Change outside light bulb.
7. Measure up conservatory for curtains.
8. Sort out dry cleaning (Creatrix can do this!)
9. Finish unpacking and putting things away.
10. Reply to stacks of emails.
11. Ring alarm company.
12. Polish shoes.
13. Shopping.
14. Sort out anti virus and firewall problems!!!
15. Ask Creatrix nicely to mend jacket.
16. Sort out things for eBay / charity shop.
17. Sort out books for TS.
18. Order mealworms for birds.

Sh*t, I've got too much to do.
