A little Christmas Eve post

Well, last week I had a mild viral throat and ear infection. I had a couple of days off work, which has helped.

Friday night was Creatrix's office party. Reasonable food (though inconsistent portion sizes; my salmon was small, her beef was huge!) Apart from crackers, party poppers and squeakers, there were those balloons that you blow up, then let go and they fly round the room; and pea shooters and paper balls for ammo!

Yesterday we didn't do a lot; watch the Muppet Christmas Carol; go for a swim; and various bits of preparation. Oh yes, I cleaned the oven (!), having decided that it smelt too badly to inflict on guests.

This morning we got up very late, then started to tidy up because Creatrix's mother was due; she duly arrived, bearing a very heavy suitcase, and that was after she had posted a box of presents up to us! Creatrix has started preparing food for tomorrow. We're waiting for Waitrose to deliver, then going to the crib service.

Sometime in all that lot, we have put up our trees - a small artifical one with fibre optic lights, and a very small real one. Creatrix has also made a table decoration with Christmas greenery.
