Papers from Michael Flowers on Tolkien in East Yorkshire; from Murray Smith on South African influences on The Hobbit; and now Dimitra Fimi on Childhood in Tolkien's Legendarium. All very good, as would be expected from these speakers.
Two small books bought (ed Ian Collier, and by John Garth); and a good dinner, served slowly, in college last night.
Most importantly, friends (and one family member) met and talked to, although I hope to spend more time doing this over the next twenty-four hours.
