I hoped the shape of my life would be different and I'd be able to go-- my friend Diana Glyer is one of the guests at the C.S. Lewis Oxbridge conference in late July and I had fantasies of spending the whole month of July in the UK... it's the 30th anniversary of my first trip to England (and France!) and I will mark it by staying home... well, actually, I'll go to Mythcon on the east coast in mid-August (you Brits should come: first, it's cheap; second, the dollar is weak - good time to come over! *hint hint* *nudge nudge*).
