Please, please, please suggest something for me to photograph for you on our trip to Norway! I love taking photos, but sometimes I need a bit more inspiration.

If you all suggest something (something different!), that will be 144 photos for me to take! Come on, you can do it ...

(Yes, I know we're not going for another two weeks - but making these posts seems to bring it closer. I'm already saying, "Are we nearly there yet?" ;-) )

All the way up the coast, from Stavanger in the south to Kirkenes in the far north; overnight stays in Bergen and Tromso; Svalbard; and a side trip to Oslo.

(Nice icon, BTW).

A funny place name sign
An unusual looking house, preferably with coloured roof
A strange type of shop
A moose (or similar if Norway doesn't have moose)
A human being doing something a little bit mad, preferably wearing a bobble hat (but not you or Creatrix or friends you might be going to visit ie. not a stunt put on by yourselves)
A whale, dolphin or shark
A pussycat

That should keep you going.

just a suggestion go to www.pbase.com and do a search on Norway and any of the places you are going to. It should give you some ideas.

Well... you do need to stay up late and wake up early for those ones, though...

A moose: we call it elg. They're huge things too.

I think one of the most interesting rooves we have is with live grass on top. Yes, not thatched with dead grass, but literally growing grass.

That will be a little difficult in the summer, I am afraid. It doesn't generally get dark enough for very long. By the end of August there might be some chance, if he stays up until midnight every day to try. The best way to see Northern Lights, is to visit northern Norway in the winter.

Are you going to Trondheim? If so, I highly recommend a certain cafe there, and request pictures of the inside...

Or anything in Trondheim, really! I could go on and on...

A semi-submerged relic of a Viking ship. If that proves impossible, maybe a part-submerged tree or stump.

I'm not sure why I want to see soggy dead wood, but there you are.
