(Very) poorly tummy
Slight fever
Lassitude

Hugs would be good, as would any spare nurses you happen to have lying around.

Oh dear. *hugs* I don't have a spare nurse, but Wilfred sends a very sympathetic hiccup and recommends a drop of whiskey. Mind you, he recommends that for anything!

Oh dear! But you can't blame me for this one - it's too late! Last Friday would have been the latest that you could got ill from my bug.

*sends hugs and sympathy*

No spare nurses, alas! but I can give advice...

Hot water bottles.
Lots of fluids, water, milk etc.
See if you can convince a chemist to sell you a bottle of Kaolin and Morphine over the counter - wonderful for poorly tummies, but difficult to get hold of these days.
Paracetamol - especially those ones like Syndol which have slight muscle relaxants in them.

Get well soon! *sends more sympathy*

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. Best cure for it is probably an early night, and a day off work if still unwell tomorrow morning.

I can provide a Cabbage Patch Kid who will poke you inquisitively and diagnose "being human" in a slightly sniffy tone.

But they're good for hugs too.

I'm sorry but Spare Nurses are no good for a man in your condition. Have a manly pat and a picture of a Lancaster instead. Chin up old boy!

No spare nurses, but plenty of hugs lying around. (No bug hugs though!)

Theory? Working up to this is why you've not been typing well. Hope it all goes away soon.

I seem to have arrived far too late to effectively join in the chorus of Get Well Soons. I can't manage any nurses, but according to the children's books about friendly nurses that I have to hand, what you need is a magic plaster and a kiss from teddy.

Get well soon

Sorry no nurses - I'm exclusive to relatives, and could do with at least one myself right now. In fact I've had something similar - though like pellegrina's it went quite quickly - and my two house sharers did too, very slightly. I suspect a bug, possibly from O'moot. Hope yours is soon done with!

Good advice. We seem to be out of magic plasters, but Big Ted was very comforting :-)

I'm better today than yesterday, thanks. Sorry to hear you were ill too, though I'm pleased it's now over with.

Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better. I'm afraid I don't have any spare nurses, but the children do have a toy medical kit and I'm sure they would love to help....

I'm almost groggy enough to say that you might want to send them down ...

I'm sure you are right. It might also explain some other odd symptoms I was having earlier this week (or at least, they are probably all connected, even though I'm not sure how the cause-and-effect was working).

Hmm. Lancasters good, but I'm sure nurses would be better!

I knew I was really ill in hospital (four years ago) when I couldn't appreciate the nurses.
