Well, my birthday was actually yesterday, but what the heck. Quite a big one, too, but a colleague pointed out that I'm only 32 as long as I count in Hex.

All told, it was a Good Day. Nice pressies (including a clay shooting session and a pocket watch from my Other Half), loads of cards, and a family party - the only real downer is that several people had to pull out at the last minute, including my sister, because my small nephew has an ear infection; but he is at least starting to improve now.

My birthday present to my other half also turned up yesterday, a scant two weeks after the event - a boxed set of Buster Keaton DVDs. We watched Sherlock Jr - it was great fun, with incredible stunts. And now we've got another 27 to watch ...

The downside of all this is that we've still got all the weekend's worth of chores to do, the excess food & drink from yesterday filling the kitchen (anyone fancy some lunch?), and all the junk in the house stuffed into the loft to make the rest seem tidy!

EDIT: I'm not 32 in Hex, I'm 28. Doh!

Happy Birthday for yesterday matey!

I'll put my name down for some leftovers - it'd save having to do the ASDA run today.

Actually, my mum seemed to take plenty of leftovers home, and she only lives about eight miles from you ...

How d'ya reckon she'd respond to her knock on her door. . .
'Hi I'm one the friends list of your son's LJ...'?

blank stare?

yeah, I think so.

Well, you'd probably have to explain the concept of LJ to her, but after that she would probably be okay - invite you in, cup of tea, biscuits, apologise for the house being a mess ...

Happy birthday for yesterday! Hex counting is good, but I don't recommend binary! Continue to enjoy today. :-)
