It's a pint mug rather than a cup, and I don't take the tea-bag out, either. I have no couth.

gramarye1971: white teacup of green tea with wooden chopsticks (Tea and Chopsticks)

Always varies based on time, location, and type of tea. Though I actually just bought a small infuser/strainer to keep at work so I could attempt to cut down on my tea stocks by bringing looseleaf tea into the office -- an alternative to the boxes of bog-standard green tea and jasmine green tea bags I keep to hand.

(I also have one or two bags of powdered green tea that I keep for the times when I'm really lazy and don't want to wait for tea to steep.)

Most of the time, I prefer tealeaves in a pot, but sometimes the laziness wins out. ;)

For one person, a tea-bag in a mug, for several I'll use the tea-pot.

Likewise. I also chose the last option, remembering how many times I've had to glue the knob back onto the teapot lid... erm... you know what I mean!

(Also, haha! For once my default icon is relevant!)

I very rarely drink tea if I have a choice, so I don't own a teapot and therefore have to use the bag-in-mug method when I run out of coffee or am in the right sort of peculiar mood. However, when making tea for people with pots, I use them (unless given specific instructions not to). I have bought my mother her own blend of tea and a teapot and an infuser, but she generally makes it when I am there (she is quite right not to trust me - I'm not very good at making tea and get precious little practice). Why do you ask?

I don't drink proper tea (because as Pierre-Joseph Proudhon said, 'property is theft. I'll get my coat.), but I drink herbal tea, bag-in-mug, leave bag in and top up with hot water as necessary. I can make a lemon and ginger bag last three and a half mugs...

Generally leaves in a pot, except I don't have leaves or a pot at work.

I gave up on teapots when teapot after teapot (okay, about 3) all good brands and differing styles) all dribbled when I poured from them. I got rid and did not buy another.

Yorkshire tea (a.k.a. proper tea AFAIC) tastes JUST fine made in the cup so that's just fine, and I have a bit more cupboard space :)
