AKICOLJ part 1
Feb. 16th, 2010 09:03 pm1. Our electric drill is failing - the rechargeable battery holds hardly any charge, and needs re-charging each time it's used. Can anyone recommend a replacement?

2. Our radiators don't appear to have a bleeding valve - any ideas?

Date: 2010-02-16 10:11 pm (UTC)Sorry not very helpful. I have never encountered radiators that don't have a bleed valve.

Date: 2010-02-16 11:08 pm (UTC)2) My immediate assumption would be that the valves had been painted up, as I've never encountered a radiator without, but....

Date: 2010-02-17 02:34 pm (UTC)I jrecently bought a Makita drill with two LiIon battery pcks from RS (http://rswww.com) for a considerably reduced price, presumably because it was an old model. There is a slim chance they still have stock. Otherwise I would probably have bought an RS own brand LiIon drill - but anyway, pick one that has a 13mm chuck, not a 10mm one, because drill bits for larger diameters are often available with a 13mm shank.
The thing with LiIon battery packs is that with care they should last for many years.
For more detail than I have energy to type, phone if you wish.

Date: 2010-02-18 08:14 am (UTC)The valves have indeed been found facing the wall. The plumber (when he came for something else) managed to open all but one of them; the last one appears to be fixed shut.
