Is there anything decent on at the cinema this weekend?

Should I sell my old film cameras?

Why was I dreaming about selling our hardback "History of Middle-earth" collection?

Did Europeans reach America before 1000 AD?

Are there any more questions I should be asking?

1. The only thing I'd consider seeing at the moment is "The disappearance of Alice Creed" but even then I'll wait until it's on the telly.
2. Probably, if you can get anything decent for them.
3. No idea.
4. I believe so. I've always suspected that the stories about Atlantis were, in fact, exaggerated travellers' tales from people who'd made landfall there.
5. 42.

1) dunno
2) if you can get anything for them!
3) dunno
4) I reckon it would be pretty amazing if the odd few hadn't got blown over there by accident, given how long people have been fishing and trading off the Western coast of Europe. But probably most of them never made it home again.

1) Possibly, but remember to look at the independent ones as well. You could rent a DVD, get popcorn and cola and watch a film at home whilst throwing popcorn, rustling bags etc. to get that authentic cinema ambience.

2) No. They will make a comeback and you would always regret it. Take the batteries out and store them in sealed bags, preferably with a silica dessicant.

3) Because it's sending you a subliminal message tha it wants out.

4) Yes. Some, who were abducted by aliens, were dropped there by mistake.

5) "Why hasn't anyone bought me a beer?"

1. I enjoyed "Agora", with Rachel Weissz, abotu Hypatia of Alexandria. Intelligent, well-executed, not over-long maths-and-sandals story.

3) Because you want to give them to me but feel at least £5 each should make you feel better because you'll have some money to treat Adaese to a nice meal out

Doubt it, unless you fancy a well-animated, thin-but-okay-plotted family film about dragons? (I enjoyed it more than I expected, actually).

Should I sell my old film cameras?

You should keep one, the one which is either the best overall performance or has the best/most attachments (or some best combination thereof).

Did Europeans reach America before 1000 AD?
Quite possibly, but I don't have any information on that.

On the other two, how should I know?! *shrug*

On 3, I would like to read them, carefully, but not then own them long term.

On 1, we just record things off the telly and leave them on the HD thingy for times when we feel like watching a film. Aldi sweet popcorn is very nice (and cheap). (We also occasionally buy films we want to watch once and then give them to relatives, such as the I-Ls, as presents (if we think they will enjoy them, of course)).

1. Well Clash of the Titans is out and Iron Man 2- well in some places, but we're a month behind in Aber... ALWAYS.

2. Film cameras take better pictures- just cost more to develop- so either sell them- or make a dark room! :)

3. No idea. These things happen.

4. I've been reading a Neil Gaimsn book- American Gods, and he certainly thinks so. I think so too- but I don't think they probably meant to.

5. Umm...
