But looking on the bright side

... we went to Bath yesterday. I had two good beers; a good lunch (with excellent wild boar salami), albeit in a noisy restaurant; bought two books, and two pieces of cheese; found out that my new / old camera works, so that's my nephew's birthday present sorted out (and also reminded me how much fun the OM series is); saw a very silly blue plaque (see my earlier post); and dispatched
adaese to the ballet.
... we went to Slimbridge today. We saw damsel flies; dragon flies; tiny ducklings; and took a canoe out.
... there is a wigeon in the kitchen. No, this isn't connected with the previous sentence!
... we have two active weekends coming up, with: a trip to The Hobbit; a visit to the Cotswold Air Show; a birthday party; a committee meeting; an Al Stewart concert; and a family lunch.
... I have read Nemesis (which is good, though sad); and am reading At Home (good, though slightly patchy).
... I have nice friends. Thank you for your ongoing messages, of all sorts - emails, LJ comments, FB comments, whatever, they are all appreciated, even if I don't always replyvery soon at all. If you haven't done so already, please take a look at my quizzes and my polls.
