According to Wikipedia, Jane Eyre has inspired:
- eight silent film adaptations
- eleven other film adaptations
- two ballets
- two operas
- a symphony
- four musicals
- two radio shows
- eleven television versions
- a graphic novel
- six sequels
- five re-workings
- three re-tellings
- one prequel
- three spin-offs
- and three re-tellings from other characters' points of view.

Including the original, I make that sixty-five versions. As far as I can tell, none of these include zombies, although one does have vampires. No statistics are available on the number of times that Haddon Hall has featured as Thornfield.

Wrong !!! I Walked with A Zombie (1943) is based on Jane Eyre. Although it is traditional voodoo zombies, not modern ones. There are rumours of a remake due out this year.

There have been a lot more than 2 radio versions - 4 BBC versions alone (1931, 1946, 1972 and 1991), and a dozen or so US ones.

Yes, I googled (http://eyreguide.awardspace.co.uk/radio.html)

Four musicals! The mind boggles.

(The only musical Jane I'd be interested in seeing, I think, would be a Simpsons parody one.)

Were you bored at work again? Are you going to produce The Reduced Wikipedia? (In fact that could potentially be quite cool.)

As what does "The Eyre Affair" count - a spin-off?
