Gosh, that picture up the column is a marvellous shot!
I do love the scissor arches - when I first saw them I thought they were a glorious modern addition (which they are, if by modern you mean 1300's :D ). And I'm always favourably inclined towards cathedrals which allow photography in them. Did you have to buy a sticker, or was it totally free?
It shows that I've been away from Oxford/England so long that when I saw the last picture, I thought it had to have been in some sort of outdoor museum. I mean, it's not like people really live in houses like that, is it? :)

Date: 2014-10-27 06:57 am (UTC)I had to buy a sticker for £3, but there was no entry charge; which came as a welcome relief after Canterbury.
And the houses are only inhabited by costumed re-enactors, who go home at 5 every day. (But don't tell the tourists, eh?)
