As I uderstand it, it draws together the family history from the published works of DLS, together with her much lesser-known works "The Wimsey Papers", "Papers Relating to the Family of Wimsey" and "Mortimer Wimsey: Hermit of the Wash". I think that CW Scott-Giles was both a trained genealogist, and a correspondent of Dorothy L Sayers.

is possibly my favorite book ever, in the limited sense that I have wanted to be Harriet as long as I have known her. But her world isn't rich enough to support me in obsession, unlike another.
