I must go where I can see puffins. Must. I've see one or two alcid species, but nothing like puffins.

They are well worth it! There are direct flights from SF to Iceland ... I don't know where / whether in North America you can see them.

Alaska. I've been pondering a tour that way. Not that I wouldn't love to go to Iceland.
