Maybe [livejournal.com profile] miss_tide and [livejournal.com profile] nonameyet could trial it? ;-)

I think not. :-) Mother is making the cake, and let's just say that in my humble opinion she is to cake decoration pretty much what Charles is to baroque singing. If I had some pictures I would show you!

That has class! I don't think Mum has ever done a dragon, but she's done a river with various wildlife, including a heron. The recipient of that particular cake could only just be persuaded to cut it.

Yeah, they were at the wedding fair! I quite liked the idea, but G made it pretty clear that he wants a proper cake. *sulks*

as someone who has to run to the bathroom when there's even a particularly strong-smelling cheese in the room, I am terribly glad nobody I know is getting married for a while...

She did a Welsh dragon for a silver wedding anniversary cake for someone once.

He wasn't persuaded to cut it. Mum had to cut it herself. He couldn't bring himself to. And I can't blame him. It was magnificent.

No thanks. Much as I like cheese, I prefer cake...!

I don't remember that one at all, for some reason. You'd think I would; I like Welsh dragons...

Can't think of anything better, except perhaps if they also did Roast Beef and horseradish bouquets or invites made out of smoked salmon...I wouldn't care if people didn't want to eat the cheese, I'd be quite happy to polish it all off myself.

I'm afraid this calls for some Peter Kay...

"Cheese?

Cake?"
