I wasn't scared. What was I doing wrong? I normally scream like an easily scared person at Who (as cuialfheim, who saw the Empty Child with me, could testify.
Not that I didn't enjoy it, or anything, and it was nice to see an episode that really used time travel, but... not scared. I was considerably more frightened of the Medusa in the Mind Robber.
Fair's fair- the Empty child was one of the scariest things I've ever seen! It was almost as scary as the BBC adaption of the MR James story "A Warning to the Curious". The first time I saw that lived on my own and was scared to go to sleep.
I might have found this one more scary if I hadn't been distracted so much by the children. No1 son in particular insists on sitting on my knee and cuddling him because Dr Who is scary. He looks forward to it all week, bless 'im..... Then he wriggles. Because it is scary.
