Every time I go into Firefox, I get this message.
Unable to connect
Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.apple.com.
* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.
* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.
* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
This happens for every site I go into.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox; same result.
Any ideas? (I know you're looking into this, didiusjulianus; I'm not ungrateful or pushing you, I'm just in the mood for sorting out PC things *now*!)

Date: 2006-04-28 03:40 pm (UTC)I have temporarily solved the problem by switching to AVG. In the longer run, I'm going to have a go at getting my money out of CA; but this wil depend on whose patience runs out first, mine or theirs.
