How to spend a Monday at home ...
Jul. 31st, 2007 12:25 pm1. Decide to clean bird feeders before re-filling them. Bring into kitchen. Undo retaining nut. Drop it down plughole. Curse.
2. Decide to dismantle trap underneath sink. Open cupboard door, and see just how full the cupboard is. Curse.
3. Empty cupboard, filling kitchen floor in the process. Dismantle sink trap. Find out how mucky it is. Curse.
4. Dismantle remainder of pipes underneath sink. Clean them. Reassemble pipes. Find self unable to put everything back together. Curse.
5. Get wife to help you. Before re-filling cupboard, find you have mistaken the time of your visitor - she's coming at 1.30, not 3.30, as the knock on the door indicates. Feel ashamed of kitchen floor full of stuff. Curse (quietly, to self).
6. Reassemble bird feeders. Find self unable to put everything back together. Curse.
7. Get wife to help you. Re-fill bird feeders. Put them out. Do birds come flocking to them? No. Curse birds.

Date: 2007-07-31 10:21 pm (UTC)I find it easiest to use a bowl in the sink for washing stuff, which means I don't lose bits when I do the feeder.
