I spoke to John Lewis yesterday, to arrange a delivery time. They offered me 7.15 - 2.10 on Friday. That wasn't convenient, so we agreed that it would be next Saturday, 9.15 - 4.35.

Why do they have such precise delivery times?

ETA: And after all that, they delivered it today. Luckily, our next door neighbour was in.

Fantastic! Reminds me of the spuriously precise (but useless) signs on highland roads, e.g. "Beware of sheep on road, next 1¼ miles"
