Little update

Creatrix is home late, because both the bus and the train are up the creek. (Possibly literally, given the weather we've been having).

The decorator has just been round, to give us a quote for doing the (converted) loft. It hasn't been done since (long) before we moved in. Seven years ago. *whistles*

I'm cooking dinner - roast pheasant. No onions! No apples! I've improvised with carrots and celery.

My two visitors tomorrow have suddenly shrunk to one - my opposite number in Preston. The big boss was coming down as well, but he's now doing it by video conference.

We're going to see Tutenkhamun (sp?) at the weekend! What's the best way to get to the Dome from central London, and how long should it take?

*nips downstairs to answer phone*

Fastest way - Jubilee line.

Best way - boat from Embankment pier - 50 mins.

Warning - allow at least 20 mins to get from the tube/boat to the part of the dome with the exhibition. When we went it was *heaving* and you'll need to add another 20 mins if you want to use to loo before you go in.

I've seen "Tut Ankh Amon" recently.

Presumably it was originally written in hieroglyphics, so I wouldn't have thought the spelling is particularly important!
