Nuthatch!

We've just seen a nuthatch in our garden, for the first time!



Seen on the ground or the feeders:
Blue tit
Great tit
Long tailed tit
Coal tit
Greenfinch
Chaffinch
Goldfinch
Robin
Blackbird
Song thrush
Wren
Starling
House sparrow
Dunnock
Chiffchaff
Wood pigeon
Collared dove
Magpie
Rook
Greater spotted woodpecker
Feral pigeon
Tree sparrow
Pied wagtail
Moorhen
Siskin
And now, Nuthatch

Flying over our garden:
Canada goose
Rook
Swift
Heron

In addition, we've had:
Mistle thrush (suspected)
Sparrowhawk (not seen, but confirmed by leavings of a meal)
Pheasant (seen by neighbour)

Mammals:
Squirrel
Hedgehog
Deer tracks (Muntjac?)

Congratulations! :-) They are nice. In the suburbs of Moscow they aren't very frequent visitors, but I guess there is a lot of them, only they remain hidden.

Your nuthatch looks very similar to our red-breasted nuthatch, and now I have to go look up half your birds again.*g*

I'm impressed. We've had a nuthatch visit us often at home (macc), but some of your others sound very cool - Goldfinch, Dunnock, Chiffchaff are all ones that I'd love to see at home!
