We're vaguely thinking of having a week away somewhere in England in September, and it may be convenient to go to the south west (including the Cotswolds, Somerset, Dorset and Wiltshire, as well as Devon and Cornwall). But that's as far as we've got, and nothing I've seen so far has jumped up and down and said, "Here! Here!"
So - does anyone have any recommendations? These can be as vague as "Cornwall", or as specific as "Mrs Jones' B&B, 1 High Street, Bridgetown, Devon, and don't miss out on the puddings at the Red Lion."

ISPs and other annoyances
Jun. 25th, 2007 05:04 pmGRRRR!!! I have just had another conversation with Force9, after waiting for ages and ages and ages on the phone. Have they connected me yet? No. Can they tell me when they will connect me? No.
They have said that they will ring me back this evening, and I am prepared to give them this long. But if they don't, then that's it.
So - can anyone recommend a reliable ISP?
And is this the end of the annoyances? No! (Smart people will already have picked this up from the Subject line ... ;-) ) I've also got a pension company to chase, as well as a decorator. There are also other annoyances that are no-one's fault. Like, the lawn still needs mowing. But with the weather we've been having, our colds, and various other things keeping us busy, it's gotten rather ... long. And that just puts me off mowing it even more! And we need to arrange new carpets for upstairs. (I'll spare you that story.)
And then there are the work annoyances, and the village annoyances; but I'll save these for separate posts.
I want to get in one of these ^^^ (see userpic), and fire off a few 17-pounder shells ...
