Humphrey Lyttleton

I read that Humphrey Lyttelton has been detained in hospital for an operation to repair an aortic aneurysm. It is unclear precisely how long Humph's recovery period will be, but it seems very likely that the Spring Series of "I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue" will have to be postponed. Humph is otherwise fine and in very good spirits.

And I heard that if you email a get well message to the isihac people then they will pass it on to Humph in his hospital bed.

Was trying to compose suitably witty and cheering lines during the 3am feed last night... anyone on wellinghall's flist (more extensive than mine) good at that sort of thing?

Poor Humph! I think it was Rob Brydon that'll be covering for him for the tour show which is still going ahead. I'd only recently signed up to the mailing list as i went to one recording back in Michaelmas '06 and was looking forward to bagging a London ticket. :(

It is - he is a great all-round entertainer. Up there with Bruce Forsyth, IMHO.
