As a veg*n I would raise an eyebrow at someone taking offence at the mention of meat... But then, I raise an eyebrow at people taking offence at other people's journals most of the time. *shrug* But I like my steak still on the cow ;)
You are more likely to get e.coli from raw/rare meat than well done. And probably ditto worms and several other things. Yuck. One of the reasons cooking was invented! I can understand though that people don't like tough meat, and sometimes well-doing meat (poorly) can result in something tough and unappetising. And sometimes it doesn't help the flavour either. Each to their own, but I'm not going anywhere near rare meat or its eaters during the process. Urgh.
Heh. The kind of beef I eat these days has to be soaked in vinegar and oil for several hours, and stewed for a couple more, to be remotely edible. To be honest, I don't do steak much anyway, even when eating out.
