Hospital update

wellinghallMore starvation diet today - clear fluids until midday.
Got to the hospital, answered their questions, completed the forms, sat around for a while.
They did the scope with gas-and-air only! - no needles. It was darn uncomfortable, but I preferred it to an IV. They removed one polyp, which looked fairly normal.
More sitting around, cup of weak cool sweet tea, then released. Creatrix, the darling, had brought along some biscuits, and I got a Ribena and a Twix from the hospital shop; then home to real tea. Creatrix is now cooking our steaks, and our very own small crop of new potatoes.

Date: 2006-07-17 06:34 pm (UTC)I don't think 'gas(-and-air)' (Entonox(TM)- what a great word) would be too refreshing when it is hot and one is thirsty, though? (Mind you, Ribena Toothkind, while virtuous, is IMO less pleasant, and the strawberry version even moreso).
