If you read this, please post a comment with a fictitious memory of you and me. Anything you want, good or bad, but fictitious. When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised about what memories people can create about you.

Oddly enough, I was thinking about starting a meme like this, just today ...

Ah, dear Wellinghall, I remember it well. We met in that little dark cafe in Trinidad (or was it Algiers?) Someone had stolen my purse while I sipped my espresso, and like the gentleman you are, you saw my apparent distress, and after some modest hesitation, you came over to my table and offered to pay my check. (Perhaps you recall my gratitude later that evening...?)
What I never told you, though, is that the purse contained the plans of a submarine parked five miles out, and it was fully my purpose that my purse should be stolen. Do may remember the explosion that rocked the city that next morning? You told me then that I had a beautiful smile....

You showing me all the pictures of the animals in Svalbard! And telling me about how you saw a polar bear with two cubs! I hope!

There was that evening on my visit to England where we'd wrapped up our tour of Oxford by strolling along Addison's Walk. That strange chill breeze came up, and then we witnessed a ghostly echo of the night when J.R.R. Tolkien and Hugo Dyson talked with C.S. Lewis as he was working his way into Christianity. We were both enthralled to listen -- well, evesdrop on the discussion of Christianity and myth, fascinated by the way the rationalist in Lewis dispaired at reconciling his love of myth with his dawning rational appreciation of Christianity.

What a night to remember!

(Well, sort of. If only.)

Truth is stranger than fiction, as I vividily recall that last Univ Oxonmoot when you got pixied and mooned La Scull - no wonder she's never been back.

Hmmm, let's see... I've got it! You were the very realistic Faramir at the Bristol (Wisconsin) Renaissance Faire! All my friends wanted to take a picture of you because of your spookily accurate costume. :)

What, like the time we were at a the dansant at the Cafe Royale and Lord Peter came in and asked us to help him solve the case of the Atterbury Emeralds?
