I like the fact that the USA can elect a black president, but I don't really have any opinion worth mentioning until I find out what he does.

I agree and would add also to elect his particular type of politician and intellectual. How he actually gets on is very important though! (If he makes a total hash of it, which I suspect he won't even if he can't do as much as he'd like and/or many others would like (but you never know), then that might actually set things back in some ways, for the future (ie. they might pick someone who puts Bush and his cronies in the shade)).
